The last couple months I've really been wanting a new camera. We've had our camera for over 3 years now and it just wasn't cutting it for us anymore. On Friday Nick surprised me with an early birthday present... a Nikon D40 camera!!! He was planning on giving it to me on my birthday but he was a little too excited and couldn't wait. It was so sweet and probably one of my top presents ever. I love my hubby! Since then I've been learning a lot about photography and thanks to Jason I feel like I'm improving all ready. Yesterday I went with Jason to take bridal pictures. I was his assistant/student, it was a lot of fun and some of the pictures even turned out pretty good!

Yeah, I'm pretty much a pro now.

Some other things that have been going on...
Wyatt has started getting more interested in walking. It's so cute watching him try to walk, he puts his arms straight out in front of him and takes off. He doesn't really know how to slow down or stop once he gets going, so he usually goes until he falls. He has bumped his head quite a few times, but it usually doesn't seem to phase him. Wyatt has also started waving bye bye, and has learned how to go down stairs. I can't believe my little Wy Guy is going to be 1 in 10 days! It's a little sad, but I'm still not ready for another one yet.

Such a big boy!

Update!

I am going to try to be better at posting from now on. It has been too long since my last post so I figure I will start now. Everything here is good. Wyatt is now 10 1/2 months old. He's getting so big! He is starting to get into everything, he's not walking yet but getting there. He finally got his first tooth this last week and is working on his second. Right now he is sick with bronchitis so he isn't his usual happy chatty self but hopefully he will get better soon. Our holiday season was a good one. We spent Christmas with my family and it was fun as always. My whole family was there, it was good to all be together. Wyatt was totally spoiled and loved every minute of it! Now it's a new year and I know it's going to be a busy one!
Here are some pics of Christmas and other stuff.

Wyatt's first Santa picture, he didn't know what to think.

Our family Christmas Card

The day before Christmas Eve, I noticed something in Wyatt's ear. I tried to get it out with no luck. The next day we went to my parents house, my sister Britany and I did a little "surgery" to remove the culprit. This is kind of yucky so hopefully it doesn't totally gross you out.

I was in charge of holding his head while Britany used tweezers to get it out.

This was the disgusting little bugger in his ear, a big chunk of ear wax. BARF!!! Needless to say I have been cleaning out his ears extra good since then.

Halloween!

Our Halloween we just hung out at home with some friends and handed out candy to trick-or-treaters. Wyatt did really good in his costume, I thought for sure he would hate the hat and pull off all the ribbon that I spent so much time attaching to it, but he didn't. I wanted Nick to dress up as the scarecrow or tin man, but he didn't want to do it. I know he would have if we would have gone somewhere. I actually made Wyatt's and my costume. I was pretty proud of Wyatt's but could not have done it without my mom. Thanks Mom!
I don't know how you all feel about this, but there was one thing I found interesting when handing out candy. We had quite a few parents come trick-or-treating. I don't mean just coming with their kids and standing at the bottom of the stairs to watch. I mean actually coming up to the door and taking candy. They weren't even dressed up, all they had was a pillow case or a little pumpkin pale. This was a common occurrence that I found to be a little weird. I can't wait for next halloween when Wyatt will be old enough to do a little trick-or-treating of his own!

Hillman Family Pics

Here are some of our family pictures that were taken by Jason West about a week ago. It was so cold the day we did it! About 30 degrees and really windy. We toughed it out though and got some good pics outside.

Update...Finally

It has been too long since I updated! Not too much is new, Wyatt and I got back to Idaho about a month and a half ago. We have been spending a lot of time with my family and it has been soooooo nice. I love being home, now if only Nick were here it would be perfect. About 3 weeks ago, I flew back to Florida and Nick and I along with a bunch of Nick's co-workers went on a cruise to the Bahamas. It was a lot of fun and a well needed vacation. My mom and sister Britany watched Wyatt for us, and it was so nice to have alone time with Nick. Nick gets home in just over two weeks and I can't wait. It will be almost two months that he hasn't seen Wyatt, and oh how he has changed. Wyatt is now 7 months old! I can't believe how fast time flies! He is learning so much. I could just sit and watch him for minutes! He smiles and laughs all the time, he loves people and will go to anyone, which is nice, he sits up really well, is trying to learn to crawl, and babbles all the time. He says mamamamama a lot, so now I'm just waiting for him to learn to associate that with me. He is such a tough baby too, he will fall over, bonk his head, hit himself in the face with a toy, ect. and he never cries. He hadn't been sleeping very well the last couple weeks, I finally took him into the doctor last week and found out he had a ear and sinus infection. I was so surprised cuz he hadn't been fussy at all, but now he is doing so good at night waking up only once! YAY! I love him so much and am so blessed to have such an easy going, chill baby. Jason West took some pics of Wyatt the other day, so I figured I had to post some of those and also some pictures of what we've been up to. I know it's kind of a lot!

Six Months Old!

I can't believe it... my baby is now six months old! How time flies. It seems like just yesterday we brought our little alien home, and now he has to be the cutest baby boy I've ever seen. I'm so grateful for my little man, he is such a sweet baby. He seems to learn something new everyday. He can now sit up, until he gets excited and tumbles over, talks and laughs all day, rolls/squirms all over the room, and is starting to take steps when he stands! I think he's going to be an early walker, YIKES! I love my little Wy Guy!!!

Nana and Gramps!

Nick's parents flew in from DC to spend the weekend with us. It was so fun to see them. We went to famous Sanibel Island, Fort Myers beach, and did a lot of eating! Wyatt had a great time with his Gramps and Nana. We love them so much, and since they live in Virginia we don't get to see them much. It was by far the best part of our summer.
