Update

I don't really have anything new or exciting going on.  But Jason told me I need to update and add more pictures.  So Jason this is for you.  Wyatt doesn't usually sleep naked but he peed all over himself before his nap.  Then fell asleep before I could get clean clothes on him.  He looked so precious so I had to take some pictures.  We are doing well.  Nick is working really hard.  I see him maybe 3 hours a day.  It is hard but "short term pain, long term gain."
Wyatt and I just hang out everyday.  We watch TV, read books, talk, practice rolling over, sitting up, etc.  We go on a lot of walks even though Wyatt doesn't like being outside too long because of the heat and humidity.  We have a good time, although I do miss all my friends and family.  The people here are a lot nicer than the people in Miami or DC, most of them are older but very friendly.  Yesterday Wyatt and I walked to the grocery store.  This women came up to look and Wyatt and said, "is it a girl?"  Are you kidding
me!  He's in a blue outfit, a blue paci, and his blue stroller.  This is
not the first time I've been asked that since I've been here.  I've never understood how some people can have such a hard time telling if a baby is a boy or girl.  I personally think Wyatt looks like a boy.

Yesterday, Nick picked up a snake for one of the reps and brought it to our apartment.  I am not much of a snake person, but it was kind of cool.  The boys were putting it next to Wyatt.  Which I did not approve of, but Wyatt seemed to like it.  He would talk and giggle whenever they put it next to him.  I guess it was a good practice run for when he gets older and is into all that stuff.  Good thing that is a few years down the road.

Florida

Yes, I'm finally in Florida.  I've been here for a full week now and so far so good.  Fort Myers is nice, not too big.  Just really hot and humid.  I don't have any pics yet, but I will be getting some to post soon.  Wyatt is finally growing.  For those of you who don't know...I was sorta starving my son.  It's not as bad as it sounds, he was having a really hard time nursing.  I could not figure out what his problem was, but I thought he was fine.  He was just really fussy all the time.  I took him to the doctor before I left Idaho and found out that he had only gained 4 oz in three weeks!!!  I know bad.  So now I have the priviliage of pumping 7-8 times a day so I can make sure he is getting the amount of milk he needs.  He is a different baby now.  He is happy all the time, sleeps better, and is just the cutest little boy ever!  Everyone here loves him.  I make dinner for guys and girls in the office almost every night and whenever they are over here everyone fights over Wyatt.  It's funny to watch the boys carefully pass him around like he is so fragile.
There are 5 girls in our office this summer.  Obviously there is more drama than in the past summers, but for the most part they are cool girls.  One of the girls, Jill, has become my personal trainer.  She kicks my butt!  I've only gone with her a couple of days so far, but I can't move.  On Thursday we worked out our legs.  I  knew I was out of shape, but after working out with her I was  in more pain than I have ever been in post workout.  It's a little difficult sitting down, standing up, walking, pretty much doing anything.  The worst is carrying Wyatt in his car seat up and down three flights of stairs to our apt.  Today we are doing arms, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be out of commission for a few days.  Let's just hope all this pain pays off!  I'll let you know.

My First Mother's Day!

Sunday was my very first Mother's Day. It wasn't exactly how I had pictured my first Mother's Day to be. Probably because Nick is in Florida and I'm still in Idaho. Don't get me wrong it was fun to spend Mother's Day with my own mom, but it was crappy that Nick wasn't here. To make things less Mother's Day like the two moms in the house (my mom and I) made dinner and dessert. It probably tasted better than it would have if my two brothers and dad would have made dinner, but I know my mom felt bad that we had to do it. At least we didn't have to do dishes.

My highlight of Mother's Day where these beautiful flowers that Nick sent me. I figured he would just forget all about it. I need to give him a little more credit. I love my husband. So even though it wasn't my ideal Mother's Day all that matters is that I have Wyatt to be a mom to. I am so lucky to have such a cute precious baby. Being a mom is the most amazing thing ever. I have a new found respect for my mom. She is an amazing person who I owe a lot to. I couldn't ask for a better mom! Oh, and Wyatt's present to me, he rolled over for the first time!

Naps...Finally!

So, Wyatt has been having some problems taking naps lately. He will fall asleep and his arms will start twitching, which wakes him up. Then he won't go back to sleep, or will only sleep if someone is holding him. Anyway, it has been driving me crazy so my mom told me to try putting him on his tummy for his naps (I know "back to sleep" but I was getting desperate). It works though, he has started taking 2-3 hour naps twice a day. It is so nice!!! I can finally get stuff done.He was taking his afternoon nap and had his butt clear up in the air. It was too cute!
Sound asleep, he even drools when he sleeps once in a while. But doesn't he look so comfy?
